A bold new venture for past and present police, emergency services, and all who serve the Crown — united by the ride, driven by loyalty.

A short story about us
Phoenix 99 was founded by Danny and Billy—two serving officers and lifelong riders—after years spent in another Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. We saw firsthand how politics, cliques, and misplaced priorities could twist the purpose of a brotherhood that was supposed to stand for unity and pride.
Rather than settle for a broken system, we built something better.
With Danny on the frontline as a Traffic Cop and Billy working the shadows as a Detective, we’ve always understood that no matter the role, the bond between officers and Police Staff runs deep. Whether you're chasing suspects, chasing leads, or filing the paperwork, what matters is your values, your integrity, and who’s got your back when it counts.
Phoenix 99 rises from those shared values—the kind that still mean something: respect, loyalty, and pride in the job. We’re not here for power games or plastic hierarchy. We’re here to ride—pure and simple—and to do it with people who remember what the thin blue line was always meant to stand for.
We don’t care who you are, where you're from, or what makes you different. If you ride with honour, you’ll be treated with honour—by every member, every time. Difference isn’t just welcomed here—it strengthens us.
If you’ve been looking for something real, you’ve found it.

Frequently asked questions
What is Phoenix 99?
Phoenix 99 is a Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (LEMC) founded by two serving police officers—a traffic cop and a detective—who wanted to return to the core values of brotherhood, integrity, and the pure love of riding. We’re about respect, unity, and doing it for the right reasons.
Who can join Phoenix 99?
We welcome serving, former, or retired law enforcement officers, emergency services personnel, and those who serve or have served the Crown in any capacity. If you ride, carry yourself with respect, and believe in loyalty over labels, you’ll fit right in.
Do I need to ride a specific type of bike?
No. We don’t judge your ride—we respect that you ride. All makes and styles are welcome, as long as it’s roadworthy and you ride with purpose.
Are there rules or a hierarchy?
We keep things simple. We’ve stripped away the unnecessary politics and false ranks. There’s structure when it’s needed, but mutual respect is what drives us—not ego or titles.
Are you affiliated with any other motorcycle clubs?
No. We are independent. Phoenix 99 was born out of a desire to break free from restrictive, outdated club systems. We respect others but ride our own road.
Do you allow women or LGBTQ+ members?
Absolutely. We don’t care who you are, how you identify, or where you come from. If you ride with integrity, you’ll be treated with the same respect as anyone else. Difference makes us stronger.
What does “Phoenix 99” stand for?
The Phoenix represents rebirth—rising from the ashes of what no longer serves us. “99” is a nod to our roots in the police service, the emergency response code… and let’s be honest, who doesn’t love Brooklyn Nine-Nine? Together, they represent who we are: forged in the job, reborn on the road.
Do I have to wear a patch or colours?
Yes - and we don't expect you to "earn it" and you will not have to endure any "induction ceremony" to get it. All we ask is you attend a minimum of five rides in a year prior to using the cut to show you are joining for the long haul.
Is the WhatsApp / SPOND group moderated?
Yes. We understand the concerns around being part of a large messaging group — especially in the current climate. Rest assured, Billy runs a tight ship. All posts are expected to reflect the values of Phoenix 99, and anything inappropriate can be flagged and will be dealt with promptly and appropriately.
How often do you ride out?
As often as life allows — we’re cops, medics, and Crown servants, so shift work and chaos come with the badge. That said, we make the miles count. Expect regular ride-outs, both planned and spontaneous. When the helmets go on, the politics come off.
What kind of rides do you do?
Everything from short blasts and charity runs to longer weekend missions and memorial rides. It’s not about who’s fastest or flashiest — it’s about showing up, riding safe, and backing each other to the end.
Do you do charity work?
Yes. Giving back is core to who we are. We support causes that matter to our members, our communities, and our fallen colleagues. You’ll see us raising money, showing up for families in need, and riding with purpose.
Can my family come along?
100%. Phoenix 99 isn't just a club — it's a community. Family days, BBQs, and ride-out pit stops aren’t just welcome to families — they’re designed with them in mind. Whether you're on two wheels or pushing a buggy, you’re one of us.
How do I become a member?
Simple — ride with us. Spend time with the crew, show us who you are, and we’ll do the same. No forms, no flash. If it clicks, you become part of the family.
Will there be a membership fee or plan?
We're working on a fair system that will be updated shortly.
Do I have to commit to everything?
No. Life’s messy — we get that. But if you call yourself Phoenix 99, you show up when it counts: on the road, in the group chat, or when a brother or sister needs a hand. That’s the only real commitment we ask.
To stay active, we just ask that you attend at least five rides or meet-ups each year.
Do I have to prove my job?
Yes — but we keep it simple and respectful. Phoenix 99 is built for those who serve or have served the Crown, and we take that seriously. A warrant card, ID, or simple verification is part of the process. Not because we don’t trust you — but because the patch means something, and we protect that meaning.
Will I be added to the WhatsApp group immediately?
Not straight away. As you can imagine, we don’t want the wrong person entering the chat. You’ll be added if you’re inducted by a member of the group or once we’ve met you in person and you’re on the road with us. We’ve got a five-ride minimum before anyone wears the patch — it keeps things real and the bond genuine.
What are the membership status's?
We categorise members behind the scenes to help with the smooth running of the club — not to create hierarchy. Everyone in Phoenix 99 has an equal voice and is treated with the same respect. To keep it simple, there are four internal membership statuses:
Note: Membership statuses are still under review and may evolve with the club.
Alpha-99 Member - Serving police officers or staff with 8+ years of service and still actively working in the Police Service.
Bravo-99 Member - Retired police officers or staff with 4+ years of service.
Charlie-99 Member - Anyone who has served the Crown in any capacity — including military, emergency services, or civil service roles.
Zulu-99 Member - Members who have been brought into the club by a serving Alpha, Bravo, or Charlie-99 member. Trusted, vouched-for individuals who live the values of Phoenix 99.
